Our story

Where it all began

It started with computers that were going to be scrapped

Perfectly working computers are replaced after three or four years – while preschools, schools and non-profits lack equipment. Infos Datordonation solved both problems: the computers were securely wiped, got new software and went on to schools including Tensta, Rinkeby and Skärholmen and to organisations such as Amnesty, Greenpeace and Save the Children. That work led to the founding of the GoodTribes Foundation, so that more good ideas can help build a better world.

Infos: Datordonation

Över 25 000 datorer från företag och myndigheter har vi förmedlat till skolor, förskolor och ideella organisationer i stället för att de skrotats. Nu startar vi om – och behöver hjälp.

Kickfix

Mattias Hemmingsson – started the project

Kickfix is a community exchange for skills and small goods. People sign up, get a public profile, and list what they actually know how to do — fix a bike, bake sourdough, dig a well, sort out a tax form. Others can search by skill, browse a map of what's available nearby, or post a request for help and wait for someone to turn up. Anyone can also open a small store and sell things: eggs, bread, groceries, whatever they have. Everything settles through a purpose — two people agree on a task or an order, add the items to it, and both confirm when it's done. There are no star ratings. A profile shows the purposes you've completed and a trust status (starter / medium / trusted) that Kickfix computes from what you've actually done. Prices are optional; you can help for free and be tipped if the other person wants to. Payment is non-custodial crypto — Kickfix never holds anyone's money.
