How GoodTribes works
GoodTribes is where people turn ideas that make the world better into reality, together. Someone has a dream, others help with what they can, and the project moves step by step from idea to real change.
Three ways to take part
The journey: six phases
Every project goes through the same six phases. Each phase has a few steps, with tools to help you along.
- 1
Idea
Put the dream into words, and who it helps.
- Describe the project and the change it should make
- Fill in the Social Lean Canvas
- Talk to the people you want to help, and see what already exists
- 2
Start-up
Gather a team and make a plan.
- Form a core team and share out roles
- Run a design sprint and build a first prototype
- Plan the pilot and set its limits
- 3
Launch
Test on a small scale and learn.
- Decide what counts as success
- Run the pilot and write down what you learn
- Evaluate: go on or not
- 4
Establish
Build routines and find resources.
- Build stable operations and recurring funding
- Make partnerships and collaborations formal
- Write down how you work, so others can do the same
- 5
Scale
Reach more people and places.
- Choose: grow yourselves, or let others start their own copy
- Set measurable goals and find new places and audiences
- Build local teams
- 6
Impact
Measure and show the change you make.
- Measure and report the change you make
- Have someone outside review the results
- Celebrate, and decide the next step: carry on, let others repeat it, or close
At the end of each phase you decide together: carry on, adjust, change direction or pause. You see what's done and what's left, but it's your call. Nothing is locked.
The AI guide
If you like, the AI can help. It drafts from what you tell it, and everything it writes is marked as a draft. Overwrite whatever you like, and turn the AI down or off at any time.
Your contribution shows
When you finish tasks in a project you earn Tribe Tokens. They show what you've contributed and give you a vote in the project's polls. Anyone who appreciates something you did can also thank you directly.
